3 Day Juice Cleanse - How to and When to?

Without a doubt, you already know about our organic juices and all the benefits that go with them. We are very proud of our 3 day juice cleanse products, but what is really happening with your body in that period? In this article, we will focus on the feelings, cravings and, go over what you can expect from a 3 day juice cleanse. 


Things to consider before a 3 Day Juice Cleanse


Even though 3 days doesn’t sound like a long time, it is a slippery road ahead. There will be a period when you will think to yourself: "Do I really need this? Do I really want this?" And don’t worry, that does not make you a weak person. That is completely normal, so just keep that in mind. Another thing to consider is the preparation. 

We do recommend changing your diet 3 to 7 days before you start your 3 day juice cleanse. The reason for that is, your body needs to adjust. Depending on how you eat, your body will take that much time to adjust. If you are somewhat careful about what you eat on weekdays, but you eat a little too much over the weekend, we recommend 3 to 4 days. If you love junk food ( we are not judging, we do too) then you will need to introduce a 7-day pre-cleanse to your body. The last thing to consider is hydration. Water is essential.

Day 1

The day is finally here and you are ready to embark on your 3 day juice cleanse journey. You woke up optimistic and ready. You may notice that after a few hours, you will start craving food that you never eat anyway. For me, it was ice cream. I don’t even like ice cream. Now your optimism is not that high. But like we said, this is normal. 

Almost everything you eat spikes an insulin reaction in your body. The sugar level in your body raises, and it gives you strength.  When your blood sugar level drops low, you may feel a bit lightheaded. When you restrict calories, your brain is not getting enough glucose. Glucose is the main source of energy. Again, water is of the essence.  So by the end of day one, you will feel a bit weak. But as we said before, you are not a weak person and you can do it!

Day 2

Now here is where it gets really interesting. You woke up feeling lighter, with more energy. How amazing is that? You are feeling lighter because your digestive tract is not full like when you had solid food the night before. Normally your body uses energy to break down food and blood flow. Now that that is not necessary, that energy is available for you to use. You will feel less bloated. If you had a headache on day one, by this time it will go away. 

If you are feeling way better than you thought you would, you might investigate the foods that you normally eat. There is a big possibility that you will visit the bathroom more than usual too. That is normal too. It means that cleansing is working. By the end of day two, you will feel you have never eaten a thing in your life. Falling asleep could be harder than usual since your body is telling you it needs food. But remember why you started. After all, there is only one day left. Focus!

Day 3

Do you remember when we said you will think that you don’t need this? This is that day. The D day. By day three of 3 day juice cleanse, bloating will be completely gone. And even though you will still crave some solid food, you will start to see some changes in your body. 

One of the best benefits of 3 day cleanse is - increased libido. We will say it again - increased libido. You will feel better about yourself because you managed to stay on track. Confidence will rise. You managed to complete this task and prove to yourself you can do it.
